Nestled on the Suffolk Coast, just 6 miles from Woodbridge in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are fortunate to be able to make the most of the picturesque Suffolk big skies - especially in the evening when you can sit, unwind and watch the sun go down.

The 16th Century pub has the traditional features of low ceilings, old oak beams and slightly creaky doors. You can truly feel its history, very much helped by the large ancient map on the wall showing all the oldie-worldie names which is quite unique, along with a traditional billiards table.

We are the only pub in the area where you can visit on horseback and have your very own fenced area for your horse to graze whilst you take in the pub atmosphere and also graze from our seasonal menu.

Through the colder winter months, warm yourself around one of two wood burning stoves. During the summer months we’ve a large beer garden to the front of the pub and an extensive area in the rear which can cater for bigger events and entertainment.
